Quarantine Coloring Sheets
On March 16, 2020, I began creating a daily drawing to calm my nerves. Each drawing turned into a downloadable coloring sheet for others to calm their own nerves. I started the first day my kids stayed home from school because of Covid19 and ended 75 days later as my city, Minneapolis, burned during the start of the global uprising for justice and equality. Coloring is a basic creative act that is accessible to nearly everyone, and brings with it the same benefits of other creative activities that can seem off limits to those who have been told they are not creative. Coloring is meditative and provides a means for one's mind to rest while also accessing a slow space within themselves that is easily crowded-out in our fast-paced need to be productive.
